I am sure you have noticed the nonstop commercials all talking about Black Friday, so you may ask yourself, what is Black Friday?

According to Wikipedia:

The day’s name originated in Philadelphia, where it originally was used to describe the heavy and disruptive pedestrian and vehicle traffic which would occur on the day after Thanksgiving.[4][5] Use of the term started before 1961 and began to see broader use outside Philadelphia around 1975. Later an alternative explanation began to be offered: that “Black Friday” indicates the point at which retailers begin to turn a profit, or are “in the black.”

While the Friday after Thanksgiving is a busy day, it is busy with customers, but not always the largest selling day of the year, and if that is the day retailers turn a profit, they are doing something wrong.

SuperJeweler certainly will be offering Black Friday Deals, and lots of them, so many that we are starting one week early.

But, what we are not doing:

  1. Only offering sales to you if you show up at 4am
  2. Asking our employees to work on Thanksgiving Day.
  3. Asking our employees to be at work at 2am.
  4. Locking our doors so you must fight the crowds to get the savings.

SuperJeweler is not open all the time, you already know that.  Our customer service may be home sleeping if you want to buy something at 1am in Chicago, or lunchtime in Brisbane.
