In the Western tradition, engagement rings are worn by a woman on her left-hand ring finger to signify that she has accepted a proposal of marriage. In other parts of the world, however, traditions associated with engagement rings can vary considerably.

For instance, in Ukraine and Poland, the bride to be doesn’t wear her engagement ring in her left hand, but on her right-hand ring finger instead. s Poland and Ukraine, it is customary for the ring to be worn on the right-hand ring finger.
